Finally Spring Break

The long awaited spring break!!

Morale has been low and a break from school is desperately needed. Thankful to all who have answered panic texts and crying phone calls. Thankful for all who sent words of encouragement and to those who didn’t know things were rough but sent funny memes, memories, and tiktoks.

I was lucky to have April and Holly come visit in the middle of February! We learned we’re not quite as young as we used to be, but we still know how to have a great time. The weekend they came was right before Mardi Gras and wouldn’t you know, Covington really loves Mardi Gras. There were floats, beads, and roller blades. We ate dinner at Mama’s and walked outside to a perfect viewing spot just in time for the parade. I loved having the Apt 204 roomies reunited even if it was just for a short time. Looking forward to celebrating Holly & Will next year!!

Last week we had barristers ball, aka law school prom. The ball was in the Cincinnati Art Museum and was an absolute blast. One of the featured artists is the man my apartment complex was named after. Pretty neat to see his art, especially knowing that he stopped painting after his wife passed citing that his muse was gone and what more could he paint without her. I loved seeing classmates dressed up. I really found myself amazed by many people who showed up because I’ve never seen them in the building, so where are they usually?!

Photos of this week are of Max who we sadly put down last week. He was a great dog and we were so lucky to have him for as long as we did. He was never far from mom (thx a lot COVID!!), was always scheming to get a treat, and knew just when you needed some love. We loved him and I hope he knew how much we cherished him. Thanks for letting us make you wear jerseys and Christmas sweaters. In our hearts always Maxwell Smart.
