Day 1 is done!

Started my day off with an episode of Ned’s Declassified School Survival to make sure I was ~really~ prepared to survive orientation. Did it help? Who knows but I am here to tell the tale of the first day of orientation!

A special shout out to the girl who gave a group of us gum when we walked into checkin! It really helped with the nervous energy, mostly. I still knocked over a partial row of name tents, easy clean up but yikes. I later leaned on a newly painted wall, thankfully it was mostly dry but who doesn’t mark a wet wall?? To start the day I ended up sitting next to a really nice classmate who was equally as chatty. Unfortunately, she is in a different cohort so we ended up parting for the day. At lunch I learned about the Board Game club & Adventure JD club, I’m looking forward to learning mahjong & maybe how to make a fire?! Touring the building before taking professional headshots was a slight scam, sweaty before pictures? Great!!

The new law school building is really beautiful, and will be even better once the thermostat is figured out. I love that almost every seat/table/sitting area has multiple outlets making everywhere student friendly. Fancy new lockers, lots of natural light, tons of study rooms – I see myself spending a lot of time in the new building!

Here’s to day 2 of orientation!!
