Twas the night before orientation

My apartment is mostly unpacked and set up, but I’ve lost interest in finishing now that I’ve pulled out my clothes for tomorrow. I’ve enjoyed the music from Braxton all weekend. A special shoutout to the DJ last night playing club music at 9pm with no one dancing. Kenna came to hang with me this weekend before going to Knoxville for two very cool tattoos. Thanks for running errands and walking down the same 3 target aisles at least a dozen times!! Sorry you didn’t get to bring Garfield home, but we know Simon (& Dad & John!) would not approve. We had a blast walking into random shops, finding new restaurants, and going to bed wildly early.

I forgot what it was like starting somewhere new knowing no one, at least that seems to be similar to most people in my class. Cheers to the fine skill of being able to just about chat anyone up, and thoughts to the introvert I’ll end up sitting next to and chatting their ear off! My snacks are packed, my water bottle is ready & my change of shoes are at the door. Here’s to new adventures.

Note to self – before driving into Cinci check to see if there is a sporting event or experience annoyingly slow traffic. Another note – why is the speed limit 55 on most of these highways? Michigan would never allow such nonsense.
